Annotation
Young children learn in different ways and in many different places. The focus of this course is to encourage students to consider how teachers support young children’s holistic development as a foundation for effective early learning.
At the same time students will be encouraged to reflect upon their own professional practice and consider how they can be more aware of young children’s worlds and their important role in early childhood education and care (ECEC). Students will also be introduced to some of the historical pioneers and theories of early learning as well as encouraged to understand how the past can inform teaching young children today and in the future
